More Than Half of the Baby Boomers May Run Out of Retirement Money; Are You Taking Control of Your Retirement with Alternative Investments?

OAKLAND, CA, July 21, 2010 /Money PR News/ -- New research from the Employee Benefits Research Institute (EBRI) reports that nearly one-half of Baby Boomers are at risk of not having enough retirement savings to pay for daily expenses. Even Americans in higher income brackets are likely to run out of money within 10 to 20 years, according to EBRI research. At a time when comfortable retirement seems to slip further out of reach, Entrust Administration, Inc. is offering an enlightening educational event to teach investors about diversifying their self-directed retirement portfolio into alternative investments.
"Intelligent IRA Investing" is a workshop hosted by Entrust, the premier provider of account administration services for self-directed retirement plans, for new and experienced investors to learn how to take their IRA to the next level. The event will take place Friday, September 10 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the San Diego Marriott Mission Valley in San Diego, Calif., and will provide up-to-date strategies for building a retirement portfolio with real estate and creative financing, and teach investors how to protect themselves and their IRAs.
"Intelligent IRA Investing" will feature presentations by three leading industry experts, including Hubert Bromma, CEO of Entrust and expert in self-directed IRAs. "There's a lot for investors to consider in an economy like the one we're in," says Bromma. "Changing laws and regulations could affect the way people use their IRA, and we want to provide them with the tools they need to take control of their retirement." Bromma has had a distinguished career in banking, M&As and real estate. He is a frequent guest on CNBC, Bloomberg, and MarketWatch; and has been a contributor to The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, and other professional publications.
Also presenting is John Schaub, a nationally known real estate expert and author of the best-selling book, Building Wealth One House at a Time. Schaub buys, sells, and manages his own properties, while also teaching seminars on how to find the best investment properties at below-market prices. Joining them is Gene Trowbridge, attorney and commercial real estate expert. Trowbridge specializes in and teaches investors about syndication of commercial properties, and is author of, It's a Whole New Business!, the preeminent book in the field.
The workshop will also feature a special "Ask the Experts" panel, offering strategies for doing real deals in real estate. The panel will include speakers Bromma and Trowbridge, as well as Reggie Lal, Wealth Building Coach, author, and investor; and Bill Tan, Creative Lending Strategist.
